Plays

A member of The Dramatist's Guild, I've studied playwriting, acting, and fight choreography at Herbert Berghof Studio (HB Studio) in New York City since 1995.

My play, The Pell, a ten minute one-act play, was produced at New York City's PULSE Ensemble Theatre, Open Pulse Arts Lab One-Act Play Contest in 2002. I also wrote the fight choreography (broadsword) and was fight captain. Readings of my other plays, Two Fooles (a ninety minute one-act), Front Lines, and Will-o-the-Wisp, have also taken place in New York City.

For more information about either The Pell or Two Fooles see excerpts on the following pages. Artistic directors can contact me by email for complete manuscripts.

Fight Choreography

As a fencing choreographer I've worked with Joe Daly (who among other things worked with Robert DeNiro on his swordplay in The Mission) as his student, assistant and substitute teacher since 1998 at H.B. Studio. I have expertise in smallsword, broadsword, rapier, case of rapiers, and rapier and dagger. I've also fenced foil, sabre, and epee for over twenty years - studying with Tanya Adamovich as a youngster and Joe Daly in my latter years. These days, when I have the time, I fence epee and I'm one of the few fencers still out there to use the Italian grip.

Information about my services as a stage fencing instructor and fight choreographer along with a sample of my fight choreography using SAFD (Society of American Fight Directors) notation can be found on my choreography page.
